With bold colours, crest branding and an unmistakably Joules twist on classic equestrian style, the official Scone Palace 2026 Collection is here. Certain to be one of the shopping village's standout highlights, the collection is the latest in a long line of bespoke creations Joules has designed for the UK's leading equestrian events.
And that pedigree shows: from the crest detailing drawn straight from Scone Palace's own history, to the fresh, modern colourways and classic cuts, every piece carries the confidence of a brand that knows exactly what our audience wants. Heritage gilets and polos sit at the heart of the capsule range, with a hoodie, short-sleeve top and cap rounding out the line. As always, the collection features clothing for men, women and children.
We caught up with Tom Joule, Joules’ Founder, to talk about the thinking behind the range, and why Scone Palace has become such a natural fit for the brand.
How much does the location and heritage of Scone Palace influence the design?
Scone Palace is steeped in history and set in some of the most breathtaking parkland in the UK, so you can’t help but be inspired by it. When we design a collection like this, we want to capture that countryside elegance while ensuring the pieces feel fresh, functional, and worthy of such a prestigious stage. We look at everything from the grand backdrop of the palace to the energy of the crowds, grounding the designs in classic British heritage with that distinct Joules twist.
The Scone Collection features a modern colour palette. Was that a deliberate choice for Scone or does it reflect the brand's direction more broadly?
It’s a bit of both. For Scone, we wanted to strike a balance between classic tones - like rich navies and greens - and inject energy with sky blues and pops of red across the colour-blocked polos and hooded sweatshirt. It reflects where Joules is heading overall - taking our beloved heritage aesthetics and brightening them up with bold, contemporary colour blocking and sharp detailing. It makes the collection stand out from the crowd.
Scotland's equestrian audience is known for being loyal when it comes to great merchandise. How does that shape your approach year-to-year?
It sets the bar really high, which we love. Scottish eventing fans know quality, and if they buy a piece of clothing at an event, they expect it to perform season after season - not just during the weekend. Knowing how passionate and loyal the crowd is makes us double down on practical quality and fabric, along with timeless design. We want people to wear their Scone pieces year-round with a real sense of pride, whether it's a cosy gilet on a crisp morning walk or a polo for everyday wear.
It's year two at Scone. What is the Joules team most looking forward to at this year's event?
Nothing beats walking around the trade stands and cross-country course and spotting people wearing the official collection. This is brilliant because the event already feels like a home away from home for us. We’re really looking forward to soaking up that incredible atmosphere, watching world-class equestrian action against such a stunning backdrop, and chatting with everyone who drops by the stand.
What is your favourite item from this year's collection?
I have to choose, I’m a huge fan of the men’s Scone Polo - the green, navy, and red color-blocking gives it a real vintage sporting feel. On the practical side, adding the women’s tech t-shirt this year is brilliant for those active days walking the course. And you can’t go wrong with our classic Heritage Gilets when that Scottish breeze kicks in.
