How can I apply for a Trade Space at Scone Palace Horse Trials?

For a Trade Application please contact tradestands@sconehorsetrials.com 


All trade stand applications will be considered based on various terms including, space available on site and the type of trade/products on offer.

Will electrical supply be available for my trade stand?

Yes, you can purchased electrical hook-up alongside your trade stand. When completing your application please indicate the electrical supply required.


Pricing for electrical hook-up can be found on our Trade Stand Pricing list.


Electrical supply may be limited in certain areas. Please ensure you request and apply for electric hook-up at the time of application. Late requests for electrical hook-up will be considered but not guaranteed and will be invoiced accordingly but this may incur an additional administrative charge.

Can I bring my own generator on site?

No, due to health and safety regulations, we cannot permit any personal generators on site.

What kinds of trade spaces are available to hire?

Trade Stands pitches are available in 3 forms as detailed below.

Pitch Type Description Price
Open Ground Provision of ground space to place your own marquee/gazebo or hire one through our supplier (prices below). Available in 3m increments £132/m frontage
Shedding Provision of a 3m x 6m bay including marquee and flooring. £1,015 per 3m x 6m bay
Scone’s Larder 3m x 2.5m space within the Food Hall. For food traders selling items not intended for immediate consumption. E.g. packaged meats and cheese. £405 per space

 

Can I hire a marquee or flooring from you to place in an open ground pitch?

Yes, marquee and flooring hire will be available to hire through us from our supplier. Please detail in your application the marquee and/or flooring required.

I have my own gazebo but it has broken, can I hire one from yourself last minute?

Last minute orders for marquee hire will be considered and cannot be guaranteed.

Can I hire a banner rail from you?

Banner rails will be available to hire and should be included in your applications. Please note, these should not be used for large header boards and are only appropriate for use with lightweight header boards made of Foamex or similar.

Can I employ a contractor to erect my marquee for me before I arrive?

Third party contractors will be permitted on site, but full details must be provided in advance to allow access.

Can I camp behind my Trade Stand?

Camping may be available to the rear of your trade stand. Please ensure when completing your application, you provide details of the vehicles you are to be bringing on site as this may affect your location on site.

Will there be a Trade Campsite?

Trade Camping is also available within our main campsite located at Perth Racecourse; this will not incur any additional charge unless electrical supply is required for your pitch which must be paid for in advance.

How and when will I be able to arrive at the event?

The Event will be held in Scone Palace Parkland with access to the site for set up available from Monday 19 th August. No access is provided to the event site prior to this date.


Should your application be accepted, full details of arrival times and how to access the site will be provided.

Can I leave the event site once in to collect additional stock?

Access on and off the event site will be provided during set times once the event is live.


Please be aware you will not be permitted to exit or enter the main site even to drop of stock or deliver items to your trade stand outside of these times.

NO TRAFFIC MOVEMENT IS PERMITTED ON, OFF OR AROUND THE EVENT SITE DURING RESTRICTED HOURS.

How many tickets will I receive with my trade stand?

Tickets will be allocated based on your trade stand size and predicted staffing requirements as a result. If more tickets are required to accommodate staff working across different days, you can contact the event office for single day e-tickets.


Additional tickets for the duration can be purchased at a discounted price via the box office.

Can I have items delivered to the event site for my trade stand?

If your application is accepted and you require items to be delivered to the event site an address will be provided.


A responsible party must be on site to collect the delivery from the Site Office. The office is unable to accept deliveries for traders who are not present on site at the time of arrival.

 

The Event must be informed of all expected deliveries and must be clearly marked with your trade stand or company name.

How can I apply as a caterer?

All catering will be managed by an external team. Please complete the Catering Concession Enquiry form on our website and a member of the event team will be in touch.

How can I apply as a food or drink trader?

If you are looking for a space to sell food not intended for immediate consumption, such as packaged meats and cheese or pre-packaged cakes, please email tradestands@sconehorsetrials.com for an application.

Can I bring my dog with me?

Scone Palace International Horse Trials is a dog friendly site and are welcome to join you at theevent subject to our dog policy below.


Lead Requirement: Dogs must be always kept on a secure lead and under control.

Off-Lead Policy: If a dog is found off-lead or not under control, the owner will be charged £20 (donated to charity) and may be asked to leave the event.

Waste Removal: Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Please ensure you bring your own poo bags. There are Dog Waste bins available across the site. Please refer to the site map to find exact locations.

Do Not Leave Dogs in Cars: Dogs must not be left unattended in vehicles. If dog/s are left unattended for any length of time in a vehicle, where we are legally able to do so, we reserve the right, if necessary, to force entry into a car to release any animals which may be suffering.

Water Points: Water points are located throughout the event site.

Dogs on Trade Stands: It is at the exhibitor’s discretion to decide if you wish to permit dogs onto your trade stand.
